Summary

“My chocolate’s so good it’ll make you grovel on your knees!”

Kaoru is brimming with confidence。 After all, he opened a patisserie after studying in France, and is the head chef of his own store。 But there’s one small problem; his customers are enamored with a local Japanese sweet shop and Soujirou, the attractive and reserved craftsman who makes the treats on offer。

Convinced that stuffy old Japanese confections could never compete with his modern, Western style creations, he decides the only way forward is to prove to Soujirou that his chocolates are the best。 But when Soujirou accepts his gift gracefully and even compliments him on his skills, Kaoru’s intense feelings take a sudden turn in the opposite direction。

This was utterly delightful。 It's a rivals to lovers story about two pastry chefs who fall in love。 Mr。 Sakura makes Western style treats, whereas Mr。 Sojiro makes Eastern treats。 Both clash in the beginning but sparks fly between the two。 I love the dynamic these two have; one is fiery, and the other is calm and sweet。 I love how Sakura is bisexual, too! This one gets spicy, too! I highly recommend it if you're looking for something cute and warm hearted。CW: Alcohol coercion This was utterly delightful。 It's a rivals to lovers story about two pastry chefs who fall in love。 Mr。 Sakura makes Western style treats, whereas Mr。 Sojiro makes Eastern treats。 Both clash in the beginning but sparks fly between the two。 I love the dynamic these two have; one is fiery, and the other is calm and sweet。 I love how Sakura is bisexual, too! Very sweet story, I do feel that the little snippets at the end of the story gave a more real look on how the mangaka wanted the characters personalities to be。Grade A sex scenes at the end 👍

I love BL Manga/Manhwa so I really wanted to like this one, but this is very short book so the story was hard to follow as they kept jumping around。 The drawings are pretty nice so that was a plus, but unfortunately the format on my kindle was so difficult to read that I couldn't appreciate that better。 There are some explicit sex scenes (as a warning)。 I love BL Manga/Manhwa so I really wanted to like this one, but this is very short book so the story was hard to follow as they kept jumping around。 The drawings are pretty nice so that was a plus, but unfortunately the format on my kindle was so difficult to read that I couldn't appreciate that better。 There are some explicit sex scenes (as a warning)。 。。。more

It was pretty cute, got steamy pretty fast and then it was over。 I think it would've been perfect to have a bit more plot。 The art was nice to watch and the characters likeable and for once it was great reading a character saying he was bi。 This almost never happens in BL manga。 It was pretty cute, got steamy pretty fast and then it was over。 I think it would've been perfect to have a bit more plot。 The art was nice to watch and the characters likeable and for once it was great reading a character saying he was bi。 This almost never happens in BL manga。 。。。more

This was adorable。 It did move a little fast, but I enjoyed their dynamic。 Also the end switched up real quick。 It was so cute and fluffy then suddenly the spice。 I love。 Not my favorite, but still really cute。

First of all, thank Netgalley for providing me with this manga。 That said, I clarify that my review will be 100% honest。This manga tells us about Kaoru, a boy who owns a French sweets place, enjoys people praising his creations and praising him。 One day he finds out that there is another restaurant that receives a lot of praise, and he must go find out what is the reason for such commotion。And what has to happen happens。Now my opinion, it is a single volume, and it is appreciated that it avoids First of all, thank Netgalley for providing me with this manga。 That said, I clarify that my review will be 100% honest。This manga tells us about Kaoru, a boy who owns a French sweets place, enjoys people praising his creations and praising him。 One day he finds out that there is another restaurant that receives a lot of praise, and he must go find out what is the reason for such commotion。And what has to happen happens。Now my opinion, it is a single volume, and it is appreciated that it avoids unnecessary drama, that if I have a problem with a part of the story and that is that a non-consensual scene occurs, and that is a no no for me, hopefully those who read the manga do not take these scenes as an example or romanticize them。 Leaving that aside, the story is fine, there were no love rivals, there was no love triangle that in the end you already know how it will end。 the same drawing is a great plus since it is striking。for me it deserves a 4 out of 5 stars and I remove points for that scene that is not consensual。 。。。more

*I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review*While this manga is very cute it wasn't to my tastes。 I never really connected to the characters because we never learn more about them than what they do for a living and that they're attracted to each other。 Even the small wrinkle of conflict that crops up midway is quickly resolved。 Also, it felt like the romance happened at hyper speed, which isn't something I'm a fan of。 It wasn't a bad story and the artwork is very pretty, i *I received an eARC from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review*While this manga is very cute it wasn't to my tastes。 I never really connected to the characters because we never learn more about them than what they do for a living and that they're attracted to each other。 Even the small wrinkle of conflict that crops up midway is quickly resolved。 Also, it felt like the romance happened at hyper speed, which isn't something I'm a fan of。 It wasn't a bad story and the artwork is very pretty, it just lacked any substance。 However, if you want a quick sweet treat with a very steamy finish then this might be for you! 。。。more

Cute concept and some nice illustrations of sweets。 Part of me wanted more plot but also I kinda liked the fluffy low conflict vibe。 It could have benefited from exploration of the characters internal thoughts to make the romance feel less rushed。Then there was the chapter with the alcohol used to lower a characters inhibitions in reference to sex。 Its clearly a lighthearted thing in the story and to the characters but it still rubbed me the wrong way。
